Where fire meets clay, the hamon line unveils the unseen
Workshops
Guided knifemaking experiences.
From Steel Bar to Blade
In my small workshop in Reyrieux, I invite you to come and craft your own knife under my guidance.
Currently, forging is not possible due to space constraints, but we rely on the precision of the belt grinder and the rigor of the design.
You will learn to master abrasion to bring a functional geometry to life, manage heat treatments, fit different materials together, and of course, explore specific finishing techniques.
Experience Requirements
Open to adults 18 years and older.
Minors accepted from 15 years old (if accompanied by a parent present).
Requires good physical condition to stand and operate machinery for the duration of the workshop.
Level 1 - Fixed Blade Knife
Learn to work steel and grind your first bevels on the belt grinder to create a fixed blade knife. Standard finishes.
Level 2 - Culinary Knife
Craft your own custom culinary knife and learn the selective quenching technique to produce a hamon. Premium finishes.
